Cold Logs - Quintet Haiku

All he wants to do is read.
the logs in this fiery blaze burn cold and empty without the warmth of a book my frozen fingers stretch not toward the campfire, but the corner of each page i have not relished in a fresh, new, unread book in so, so many a moon i travel and scrounge for coin slowly saving up not to buy gear, but some warmth a warmth that does not come from burning, but instead books i wish i could have read

Alcoholics Anonymous meetings end with this prayer, reminding those in attendance to view their life as an observer. It can be challenging to stay grounded while navigating the labyrinth of problems in our lives, but the Serenity Prayer reminds us that the best course of action is usually to take a beat and consider what kind of problem you're currently looking at, and how you should deal with it - with courage, or with serentiy.

Reliably, Unpliably, Stands the WaterLogg-ed Redwood; In a Woodland, he tarried, hooded. Tarried too long, he hid. In flames loom- They burn. He stands, Unpliably: Reliably. Wet whet barrier, anti-flayer. defending, opposing pyro, pyrrhic victory. The friends become a pyre. Los are his allies: He stands walled by smoke damaged skin. The barrier thickens; It's become a trend. The rain whets him again.
